It may be Rosh Hashanah but it's the start of the Round of 12 eliminations of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series in Texas Motor Speedway for the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500. Will there be someone advancing to the next round? Or will there be another non-playoff gatecrasher crashing the playoffs party? Let's find out.
As the green flag waved, the first wave of the Round of 12 eliminations is on with the first stage witnessing a spin from Kyle Busch, a slowdown for Christian Bell, and a slide for Alex Bowman to name a few. With Kyle Larson winning Stage 1, more chaos ensues in Stage 2 where Larson and Hamlin made contact, Christian Bell's retirement in the race after a collision, and Cody Ware got hospitalized following the accident. With Ryan Blaney winning Stage 2, the race went to a halt due to lightning in the area.
An hour later, with the red flag lifted, the race resumed with only 100 laps left on this race. There's Kevin Harvick crashing to the wall while leading the race, and there's Martin Truex Jr's spinning out of the track, not to mention a caution that erases Tyler Reddick's lead over Joey Logano. As the climax draws near, it's NASCAR, after all.

For the fourth time this season, another non-playoff gatecrasher has crashed the playoffs party as Tyler Reddick wins the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series.
With another "no contest" situation in the playoffs, is there hope for the remaining playoff contenders to redeem themselves? The next race is at Talladega Superspeedway for the YellaWood 500 this October 2.
