The Iowa two-parter of the 2022 NTT IndyCar Series concludes with the Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300.
As the green flag waved, the conclusion of the Iowa two-parter of this season is on and the first 60 laps saw Will Power leading the race until Josef Newgarden steals the lead at Lap 84. As the race heats up, Kirkwood got involved in a single-car incident and was therefore out of the race. With Newgarden leading in Lap 175, his wonderful lead ended in horror as he got involved in a crash. With Pato O Ward leading after Lap 275, he kept going on until the climax.
After the race, reports told that Newgarden suddenly collapsed and returned to the infield care center. He is awake and alert and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
