Let's get to know about the legendary cars that are hard to get in Gran Turismo 7's Legend Cars not only because of their extreme rarity that appears once in a blue moon but also their outrageous price tag that takes almost forever to save one. Today, let's get to know about the Toyota 2000GT, the ancient sports car dubbed as Japan's first supercar and a Bond car that appeared in 007: You Only Live Twice.
Dubbed Japan's first supercar, the 2000GT is built in collaboration between Toyota and Yamaha. It's powered by a Yamaha-tuned 2.0L six-cylinder engine producing around 153HP and the whole car is wrapped in aluminum. Yamaha also contributed to the wooden panels the 2000GT's interior possesses from their pianos. Only 300 of these were made and such a rarity can cost collectors over half-a-million US Dollars in modern times. A one-off convertible version was made specifically for the Bond movie mentioned above because of Sean Connery's height problems, knowing that he couldn't fit in the car.
The 2000GT will lap through the Goodwood Motor Circuit but how fast will it go? Let's roll the tape.
It did it in 1:43.833. Not bad for a Toyota that was driven by a Bond girl in the movie.
What other hard-to-get legendary cars should I drive next? Stay tuned for more.
