As the green flag waved, the nighttime action in Martinsville has begun. As Chase Elliott won Stages 1 and 2, a surprising achievement for some who led the first 185 laps at Martinsville, the final stage turned this orderly night race into utter chaos with Martin Truex Jr. facing a bad day and then an anti-climactic caution that triggered overtime.
