- The United States is deploying three thousand more soldiers to Poland to bolster NATO defenses following the imminent Russian invasion of Ukraine. The White House warned that Russia could attack at any time.

- An injunction has come into force in the Canadian province in Ontario to end days of protests at the major crossings to the US.

- The Presidential Palace of Peru has been raided by authorities as part of the corruption investigation involving the state-run petrol company Petroperu. Police also seized documents from the homes of 14 people.

- Two freelance journalists and three Afghans working with them have been freed by the Taliban.

- Chinese medical products regulator says it's given a regulation to Pfizer's anti-COVID pill. It's the first oral pill specifically developed to treat the disease to be approved by the government in Beijing.
