After a year off, the F1 2021 season has returned to Mexico City for the Gran Premio de la Ciudad de Mexico as the title clash between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen continues.
With the lights out, the Mexico City Grand Prix kicked off with Verstappen charging to the lead but here comes disaster for polesitter Valtteri Bottas as he spins down to 18th place while Daniel Ricciardo loses his front wing in contact with Bottas. As the race resumed, Max Verstappen remains in the lead with Hamilton and Sergio Perez coming from behind. Come Lap 9, Mick Schumacher threw in the towel due to mechanical failures.
Halfway through the race and with the title rivals done their pitstops, the action in Mexico intensifies. As the climax draws near, there's no stopping Verstappen from chasing another win of the season.
