The Sydney quad-header of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship concludes with the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight. What is supposed to be a two-race ending of the four-part Sydney adventure of the 2021 Supercars season until the rain came, turning it into a one-race fight for Shane Van Gisbergen as he's on the verge of clinching his second title, given that Jamie Whincup doesn't stand in his way.

The first and only race of the Sydney quad-header finale saw Shane Van Gisbergen defeat his title rival Jamie Whincup as well as Cameron Waters, securing his hopes for his second title. Still, a one-two finish for the Red Bull Ampol Racing drivers is more than enough to clinch its 10th teams' championship title.
Originally, the last race of the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight would be a make-it-or-break moment for SVG. Given that if he finished 6th or better, van Gisbergen will be crowned this season's champion, no matter which position his title rival Jamie Whincup will finish.
That moment, however, is ruined spectacularly as the sudden downpour halted the final race of the event and Shane Van Gisbergen is named the 2021 Repco Supercars Champion.
The action in Sydney is well and truly over with Shane Van Gisbergen claiming his second title but the Supercars action is far from over because they will be heading to Mount Panorama for one last race; The Big One. It's the Repco Bathurst 1000 happening this December 5th, 2021. Don't miss it!
