The fight for the Championship 4 concludes in the midst of the Halloween vibes surrounding Martinsville as the Xfinity 500 event of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series decides who will make it to the Championship 4, despite the table-turning results that occurred over the course of this race.
As the green flag waved, the final race of the Championship 4 eliminations and the penultimate race of the season kicked off. In Stage 1, Ryan Blaney managed to keep his cool after getting nudged by William Byron while Denny Hamlin got penalized after speeding on pit road. Following Hamlin's close shave, Austin Dillon and Ryan Blaney made contact.
As Chase Elliott wins Stage 1, Stage 2 gets intense with Austin Dillon getting crashed at Turn 2. With Elliott nicked another stage win at Martinsville, sealing his spot at the Championship 4, the final stage is where the tables are turned. As Denny Hamlin leads, all hell broke loose in Martinsville with big damage to the #19, Keselowski spins, MTJ going hard into the wall, and the clash between Hamlin and Alex Bowman that sent the former lost momentum following a contact.
