The first race saw Frederich Vervich emerge as the first two-time winner of the season after his pole-to-win hat trick trumped Thed Bork in the final lap. Meanwhile, the last race of the event saw Jean-Karl Vernay deliver his hometown victory against Yvan Muller in order to keep his title hopes alive.
After France, Yann Ehrlacher remains in the lead and he is now 16 points ahead of Vernay, 160 vs. 144, while Esteban Guerrieri is now demoted to third place with 138 points.
The next event of the FIA WTCR 2021 will be at Adria for the Race of Italy this November 6th to 7th.
