F1 2021: Aramco United States Grand Prix

After being removed from last year's calendar due to the global pandemic, the Circuit of the Americas roars back to life with the US Grand Prix of the F1 2021 season. As the Lone Star state comes alive with the rapturous applause and engine sounds, the return of the USGP could see Max Verstappen gaining the upper hand ever since he obtained the pole position status. Does his pole translate into a win? Let's find out.

The race kicked off with Daniel Ricciardo making a brilliant overtake past Carlos Sainz in the opening lap. Three laps later, Lance Stroll and Nicolas Latifi got involved in a mess. Behind the mess, the clash between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen intensifies until the latter stopped at the pits. Come Lap 14, Hamilton comes into the pits and he comes out behind Verstappen.

As Pierre Gasly called it quits on Lap 15 due to mechanical issues, Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen began butting their heads while Valtteri Bottas overtook Yuki Tsunoda for P8. Halfway through the race, Verstappen continues catching up after his second pitstop and with Hamilton coming into the pits in Lap 37, he regained the lead.

As the climax draws near and with Fernando Alonso out of the race, Verstappen continues to fend off Hamilton until victory lane comes into view.
