The inaugural Extreme E championship continues in the beautiful Sardinia for the Enel x Island X Prix, a race that replaced the originally planned race in Brazil due to the COVID situation in Latin America. While this race raised awareness of the rising temperatures that lead to extreme temperatures and wildfires, this penultimate race of the season isn't short on drama and thrills the teams expected.
From the qualifiers to the semi-finals, the RXR, JBXE, Segi Chip Ganassi Racing, ABT Cupra XE, and X44 are the teams that made it to the finals. As the finals rolled in, the X44 and Segi Chip Ganassi Racing teams are out of the race due to mechanical failures in the middle of a race. Behind the heartbreak of the two teams, the final three delivered their climactic gambit towards the finish line.
