As the green flag waved, the playoffs action in the 'Dega has begun. The first stage saw some unexpected moments such as Denny Hamlin's bad day at the pits, Chase Briscoe sustained some damage to his car following an accident and a major disaster where Allgaier spun and collected Kyle Larson.
As Chris Buescher won Stage 1, Stage 2 gets even more intense with Kyle Larson's day just went from bad to worse, and a rain delay that brought the race to a temporary pause. As the race resumed, Alex Bowman got spun and other playoffs contenders are collected in another major disaster in the tri-oval. As Stage 2 draws to a close, Ryan Preece got spun out as well and collects William Byron and Matt DiBenedetto in it. Soon after, the rain came and the red flag has been triggered. Bubba Wallace is leading.

With the YellaWood 500 race prematurely ended due to rain, race leader Bubba Wallace, a NASCAR driver who is not in the playoffs, is technically the winner. This is the first time a Black driver won a NASCAR Cup Series race since Wendell Scott in 1963. Although he is not in the playoffs, Bubba Wallace made history.
Who will make it to the Round of 8? Who will be eliminated? Find out as the Round of 12 playoffs ends in Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course for the Bank of America ROVAL 400 this October 10th.
