The ninth day of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics focuses on Athletics, Sailing, Shooting, Swimming, Trampoline Gymnastics, Triathlon, and Weightlifting as medal events of the day.
Beginning in Athletics, Sweden scored a double medal podium at the Men's Discus Throw Final with Daniel Sthal won the gold medal and Simon Pettersson won the silver medal.
In Sailing, China's Lu Yunxiu won the Women's Windsurfer - RS:X Medal Race while Kiran Badloe of The Netherlands won the Men's Windsurfer - RS:X Medal Race.
In Shooting events, Spain won the Trap Mixed Team Gold Medal Match while Switzerland's Nina Christen won the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women's Final.
The Swimming Events saw Team USA scored double victories with Caeleb Dressel at the Men's 100m Butterfly Final and Kathleen Ledecky at the Women's 800m Freestyle Final. Australia's Kaylee McKeown won the Women's 200m Backstroke Final and Great Britain won the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay Final.
In Trampoline Gymnastics, Ivan Litvinovich of Belarus won the Men's Final.
In Triathlon, Great Britain defeated the US and France to win the Mixed Relay.
And in Weightlifting, Lyu Xiaojun of China won the Men's 81kg Group A while Qatari Fares Ibrahim E H Elbakh won the Men's 96kg Group A.
China now leads the medal tally count with 21 golds and 46 overall.
