Tokyo 2020 Highlights - Day 13

    


August 4, 2021 - DAY 13

The 13th day of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics centers on Artistic Swimming, Athletics, Cycling Track, Equestrian, Marathon Swimming, Sailing, Skateboarding, and Weightlifting.

Beginning with Artistic Swimming, the ROC won the Duet Free Routine Final against China and Ukraine.

In Athletics, Sydney McLaughlin and Dalilah Muhammad won Gold and Silver for Team USA at the Women's 400m Hurdles. Peruth Chemutai of Uganda won the Women's 3000m Steeplechase Final, Wojciech Nowicki of Poland on the Men's Hammer Throw Final, a double medal win for Kenya at the Men's 800m Final with Emmanuel Kipkurui Korir won the Gold and Ferguson Cheruiyot Rotich took home the silver medal, and Andre de Grasse of Canada won the Men's 200m Final.

In Cycling Track, Italy beats Denmark and Australia to win the Men's Team Pursuit Finals.

In Equestrian, Ben Maher of Great Britain won the Jumping Individual Final Jump-off.

In Marathon Swimming, the winner of the Women's 10km event goes to Brazil's Ana Marcela Cunha.

In Sailing, Australia won the Men's Two Person Dinghy 470 Medal Race while Great Britain won the Women's Two Person Dinghy 470 Medal Race.

In Skateboarding, it's a double medal finish for Japan in the Women's Park Final with Sakura Yosozumi won gold and Kokona Hiraki won silver.

And in Weightlifting, Lasha Talakhadze of Georgia won the Men's +109kg Group A.
