Tokyo 2020 Highlights - Day 7

On the seventh day of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the following sports that have medal events are Artistic Gymnastics, Canoe Slalom, Rowing, Shooting, and Swimming.

Beginning in Artistic Gymnastics, Sunisa Lee of Team USA won the gold medal at the Women's All-Around Final.

In Canoe Slalom, Jessica Fox of Australia defeated the likes of Britain's Mallory Franklin and Germany's Andrea Herzog to win the gold medal from the Women's Canoe Final.

The Rowing events saw Croatia won the Men's Pair Final A, New Zealand for the Women's Pair Final A, Ireland for the Lightweight Men's Double Sculls Final A, and Italy for the Lightweight Women's Double Sculls Final A.

In Shooting, Slovakia's Zuzana Rehak Stefecekova won the Trap Women's Final while the Czech scored a gold-silver finish at the Trap Men's Final courtesy of winner Jiri Liptak and David Kostelecky.

And in Swimming, the US and China made headlines on medal events. The former's Robert Finke won the Men's 800m Freestyle Final and Caeleb Dressel for the Men's 100m Freestyle Final. The latter, meanwhile, won the Women's 4x200m Freestyle Relay Final and their very own Zhang Yufei won the Women's 200m Butterfly Final. Meanwhile, Izaac Stubblety-Cook of Australia won the Men's 200m Breastroke Final.

In the medal tally, China leads the Gold Medal count with 16 while Japan won 15 and the US won 14. Rank by total, the US still leads with 41 total medals won.
