The first part saw lots of action and mishaps in store such as Alex Lynn's on-track trouble, Pascal Wehrlein's heartbreak, and close-quarters combat in store for the drivers. In the end, Maximilian Guenther wins the first race followed by Jean-Eric Vergne and Lucas di Grassi.
The second part, meanwhile, saw even more action than before such as Jean-Eric Vergne's failure to start, Edoardo Mortara's collision, and the drama unfolds from start to finish. After such intense racing, Sam Bird is the comeback kid for Jaguar as he emerged as the winner of the second race followed by Nick Cassidy and Antonio Felix Da Costa.
Post-NYC, Sam Bird has emerged to the top of the leaderboards and he is now five points ahead of Antonio Felix Da Costa, 81 vs. 76. Robin Frijns has dropped to third with 76 points.
The next race is in London from the 24th to the 25th of July, 2021.
