F1 2021 - Grand Prix de Monaco

Formula 1 returns to the streets of Monaco for the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix where all bets are off for the drivers fighting their way to the top.

Minutes before the race starts, we all thought this could be the big break for the hometown hero, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, because of his pole position, but due to mechanical issues, this means heartbreak for him and he was therefore out of the race before it began.

As the race kicked off, the drivers are going all-out to survive until the final lap. For the Mercedes team, it spells trouble as Valtteri Bottas' tyre issues at the pits forced him out of the race. As the race rages on and with Lewis Hamilton's having a bad day in Monaco, it's the ideal chance for Max Verstappen to conquer the streets of Monaco by all means necessary.

In the end, Max Verstappen snatched Lewis Hamilton's championship lead at the rate of four points, 105 vs. 101, after his victory at Monaco. Carlos Sainz finished 2nd and Lando Norris finished 3rd.

There's still plenty of action for this season so these two championship rivals will keep dishing themselves for more as the next race of the F1 2021 season will be the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on the 6th of June, 2021.
