The three-part F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix 2021 continues with the British Virtual Grand Prix where the top competitors battle against each other in the virtual Silverstone track.
Previously in the virtual Ausrian Grand Prix, Enzo Fittipaldi and Ferrari Driver Academy's Arthur Leclerc made headlines as they've pulled whatever means necessary to win the first Virtual Grand Prix of 2021 and in the end, it was Enzo who nailed the first win of the three-race virtual mini-event.
In the second part of the F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix 2021, the entry list saw Williams Racing's George Russell and Nicholas Latifi making headlines as well as Alex Albon, Red Bull Racing Test and Reserve Driver, competing alongside junior team member Liam Lawson.
26 laps of virtual Silverstone action saw some memorable moments such as Callum Ilott's strong start, Thibaut Courtois sends it past Alex Albon, George Russell's overtake, and the clash between Russell and Albon that made headlines.
In the end, Alex Albon's penalty cost him his first place win and that win was therefore handed over to George Russell of Williams Racing. Ilott finished third.
The F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix concludes with the Brazilian Virtual Grand Prix on the 14th of February.
