2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - Road America

The month of August kicked off with a slew of races this weekend and as the NASCAR boys went wild at New Hampshire while the F1 aces battle each other at Silverstone, this season's IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship continues at Road America, where the early moments went dramatic and then the downpour at the climax made it even more thrilling, fueling tensions to the competitors.

The Road America leg of the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is one sure fire way to kick off the month of August with a race weekend and although living under "new normal" circumstances, the appearances of spectators parked outside the track got it worth noticing. Anyway, the race is dramatic at the early stages until the downpour climax makes it even more thrilling. Simple as that.

After one thrilling and dramatic battle at Road America, the #7 Acura Team Penske DPi, driven by Ricky Taylor and Helio Castroneves, wins the race while the #81 DragonSpeed USA ORECA LMP2 07 wins the LMP2 class, the #3 Corvette Racing C8.R for the GTLM class and the ever dominant #12 AIM VASSER SULLIVAN RC F GT3 for the GTD class.

Next race is the Michelin GT Challenge at VIRginia International Raceway on the 21st to 23rd of August.
