F1 2020: Rolex Grosser Preis Von Ostereich

After months of hiatus due to the global pandemic crisis, IT'S LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO as the F1 2020 season restarted under "new normal" conditions and the season opener kicked off at the Red Bull Ring at Spielberg, Austria, for the Rolex Grosser Preis Von Ostereich, and following pre-race controversies surrounding Mercedes's DAS and the fact that champion Lewis Hamilton got slapped with a grid penalty following a certain incident, the return of F1 under "new normal" is everything the world's been waiting for.

The return of F1 in the midst of the "new normal" is everything the world's been waiting for and despite pre-race controversies, the season opener held at the Red Bull Ring is a real thriller from start to finish.

With Max Verstappen out of the race at Lap 14 for losing power, the clash between Sebastian Vettel and Carlos Sainz, Kimi Raikkonen losing a front wheel, Alex Albon's late clash with Lewis Hamilton, and the odd bump for Lando Norris, that season opener really is one for the books.

After an intense Austrian thriller, Mercedes's Valtteri Bottas draws first blood with a win while Charles Leclerc of Ferrari placed 2nd and Lando Norris tasted his first podium finish for McLaren with a third place finish. Other finishers include Hamilton, Sainz, Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon, Antonio Giovinazzi, and Vettel.

The F1 2020 season will continue at Red Bull Ring for the Pirelli Grosser Preis Der Steiemark on the 12th of July.
