Our favorite stay-at-home NASCAR greats finished their virtual NASCAR action on the virtual North Wilkesboro Speedway for the North Wilkesboro 160 leg of the special eNASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series, made in collaboration between NASCAR and racing simulator iRacing.
The legendary North Wilkesboro Speedway was closed after the last race in this track held in the Autumn of 1996 with Jeff Gordon took the checkered flag. Now that the track is back, albeit in virtual form, the best of stay-at-home NASCAR drivers are gathered virtually for one last time in the final leg of the special eNASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series. A wonderful virtual venue for the finale of the special virtual series of course.
Stirring nostalgia aside, the Pro Invitational Series finale is nothing without classic NASCAR stuff such as Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer back at it again, Kyle Busch motoring around North Wilkesboro, and of course, The Big One. A real thriller.
After a thrilling race to the finish, Denny Hamlin wins the North Wilkesboro 160 leg of the special eNASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series.
This concludes the eNASCAR Pro Invitational iRacing Series, made in collaboration between NASCAR and racing simulator iRacing. With the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series set to return soon amid the COVID-19 pandemic, let's hope the NASCAR drivers brace themselves for the new normal as they are hitting the tracks very soon even without their fans in sight.
Stay home, stay safe!
