2020 NASCAR Cup Series - The Real Heroes 400

Three simple words: NASCAR IS BACK. Yes, America's favorite motoring pastime is back in the flesh as the drivers and staff are out of their comfort zones and into the real racing action at Darlington Raceway for The Real Heroes 400. Needless to say that despite the pandemic going on, NASCAR's reopening truly sets the benchmark to all racing series everywhere when it comes to reopening races in times of pandemic. Adapting to the new normal sounds rough, meaning no audiences allowed due to social distancing procedures, but with NASCAR returns for real, there's a lot of catching up to do while getting in tune with the times.

As the green flag waived for the first time after two months of void due to COVID-19, the return of real NASCAR racing at Darlington is underway and being NASCAR, it wouldn't be without some crazy moments such as a crash by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., then Jimmie Johnson's lead ended in a crash, and also William Byron.

After 400 miles of intense Darlington action for real, Kevin Harvick wins The Real Heroes 400 leg of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series. He is now the 14th NASCAR driver to win 50 career races, overtaking Tony Stewart with it.

It's good to have NASCAR back in the flesh. Let's hope other motorsport events follow their example as they adapt to the new normal in times like this.

Stay tuned for more NASCAR updates!
