INDYCAR iRacing Challenge - Firestone 175

The virtual Twin Ring Motegi was the next stop for the stay-at-home INDYCAR drivers for the Firestone 175 leg of the special INDYCAR iRacing Challenge made in collaboration between INDYCAR and iRacing.

Because it was set in the virtual Twin Ring Motegi, Takuma Sato, the only Asian IndyCar driver who won the Indy 500 years ago, managed to join the grid of INDYCAR greats as well as the world's best drivers gathered across different kinds of motorsport. In addition to Sato, three-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves and NASCAR great Kyle Busch have joined the ranks as well, making the virtual Motegi race an interesting feat for the stay-at-home drivers.

They've used the Super Speedway variant of the Twin Ring Motegi and the race lasted for about 113 laps with most of the drama, most of the close-quarter overtakes, and most of the virtual mess no one saw them coming.

After 113 laps of virtual Motegi action, Simon Pagenaud beats Scott Dixon and Will Power to win the Firestone 175 leg of the special INDYCAR iRacing Challenge, although some finishing crashes occurred to some.

Other finishers include Marcus Ericsson, Robert Wickens, Jack Harvey, Sage Karam, Zach Veach, Santino Ferrucci, and Graham Rahal, among many others.
