The virtual IndyCar action continues at the virtual Circuit of the Americas for the AutoNation IndyCar Challenge leg of the special IndyCar iRacing Challenge made in collaboration with IndyCar and iRacing.
Because it's set on the virtual Formula 1 track, what better way to make the virtual IndyCar race more exciting by bringing a Formula 1 driver to the IndyCar grid and with that, McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris made a special guest appearance in the AutoNation IndyCar Challenge. Of course, Lando's no stranger to esports stuff because he's been to this trend before until he jumped into F1 racing for real.
Anyway, impressive resume for Norris aside, another Supercars great joins the grid as Chaz Mostert pilots the #98 in-game.
The drivers and gamers are in for some serious business at COTA for 32 laps and with every action, every drama, and every trouble in store for them, this virtual COTA race really brings the heat for the stay-at-home drivers.
After 32 laps of virtual action at COTA, the guest star of the day, Lando Norris, despite his spinning incident, managed to fend off Pato O'Ward and win the AutoNation IndyCar Challenge. Not bad for the F1 super rookie. Also, Felix Rosenqvist completes the podium with a third place finish.
