IMSA Sebring SuperSaturday on iRacing

With the real Sebring SuperSaturday postponed to November as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship's season finale, IMSA collaborated with iRacing to create a virtual alternative called the IMSA Sebring SuperSaturday on iRacing, where 50 of the best IMSA drivers gather for an online race held on the virtual take of Sebring International Raceway while at the comfort of their homes.

50 of IMSA's greatest drivers, including past champions and Sebring winners, have a choice of four IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race cars to choose from; the BMW M8 GTE, the Porsche 911 RSR, the Ford GT, and the Ferrari 488 GTE. Once picked, they battle each other in an online race held on the virtual take of Sebring International Raceway for 90 minutes.

BMW emerged a full podium sweep at the end of the 90-minute virtual race and Bruno Spengler, driver of the #25 BMW Team Red M8 GTE, emerged as the winner of the IMSA Sebring SuperSaturday on iRacing.

Even in such dire times the world is facing, it's great to know that virtual races are the best race weekend alternatives at the comfort of their homes and the best of IMSA sure knows how to pull a wild virtual race like this.
