In a statement released from its organizers, they will not host the inaugural Formula E race at Jakarta, Indonesia "as instructed by the Governor of Jakarta Anies Baswedan." The move comes after the organizers cancelled not just the Sanya E-Prix, but also the Rome E-Prix, which was supposed to take place next month, due to the Italian government placed the whole country on lockdown due to the rapid spike of COVID-19 cases there. Although, it is still unclear whether they will cancel the first-ever Seoul E-Prix of this season as COVID-19 cases there peaked to near eight thousand.
