F1 2019: US GP

The Lone Star state of Texas comes alive with two racing events happening in America's biggest state. From Austin, there's the United States Grand Prix of the Formula 1 2019 season, and from Fort Worth, there's the AAA Texas 500. Focusing on Austin, at the prestigious Circuit of the Americas, this is the race where Lewis Hamilton's moment of fame came into fruition as his goal of a sixth world champion came within podium reach and one podium finish is more than enough for the Brit to defend his title and he did.

By placing 2nd place behind US GP winner Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes and ahead of 3rd placer Max Verstappen of Red Bull, Hamilton is officially the six-time Formula 1 world champion. That puts him a title apart from F1 legend Michael Schumacher in the all-time ranking of most number of world titles won. Other finishers include Charles Leclerc, Alex Albon, Daniel Ricciardo, and Lando Norris.

Hamilton may have become the world champion for this season but with two races left, it's everybody's game now as the race continues in Brazil this 17th of November.
