ABB FIA Formula-E S6 - Diriyah E-Prix

The sixth season of the ABB FIA Formula-E Championship is by no means the biggest Formula-E season to date because of new competitors from Porsche and Mercedes-Benz and new locations such as South Korea and Indonesia. The season kicked off with the two-part Diriyah E-Prix race where new and returning competitors survive themselves to the final tick of the clock to get through victory lane and boy, what a race that is.

In the first race of the season opener, Sam Bird of Virgin Racing emerged as the winner after surviving against the likes of Andre Lotterer, who is now at the brand new Porsche Formula-E Team, and Stoffel Vandoorne, who is now at the new Mercedes EQ team. Then, in the latter race, Alexander Sims, representing BMW i, beats his teammate Maximilian Guenther, and Audi veteran Lucas di Grassi.

The two-part Diriyah E-Prix is a wild way to start the season but expect big things ahead as the next race will be at Santiago, Chile, on the 18th of January, 2020.
