- The Manila Broadcasting Company are using back-up facilities to "minimize interruption" following the fire at Star City that gutted their headquarters last Wednesday. The fire damaged studio booths of 5 radio stations and RHTV and is expected "to temporarily impact the workflow of about 200 employees," MBC said in a disclosure to the stock exchange.
- President Rodrigo Duterte asked Russia's top oil producer to invest in the Philippines.
- The Bureau of Internal Revenue filed a criminal complaint against media moguls Felipe Gozon and Paolo Prieto for alleged "willful failure to pay taxes" worth around P23.48 million.
