IMSA's 50th anniversary celebration has reached its spectacular climax and the Motul Petit Le Mans endurance race is the ultimate swan song to the golden anniversary celebration of one of North America's prestige motorsport where the world's best are gathered to take on the best racetracks in North America. Road Atlanta is the setting of the celebratory climax and it took 10 hours to bring the golden celebration to a spectacular send-off IMSA deserves.

10 hours of blood, sweat, and tears poured into the dramatic climax of the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and after all the drama and thriller occurred in Road Atlanta, the #31 Whelen Engineering Racing Cadillac DPi of Felipe Nasr, Eric Curran, and Pipo Derani won the Motul Petit Le Mans endurance race while the #62 Risi Competizione Ferrari 488 GTE of James Calado, Alessandro Pier Guidi, and Daniel Serra won the GTLM class, and the #96 Turner Motorsport BMW M6 GT3 of Bill Auberlen, Robby Foley, Dillon Machavern won the GTD class.
After the intense 2019 season, it's official that the #6 Team Penske Acura, the #52 PR1 MATHIASEN MOTORSPORTS, the #912 Porsche GT Team, and the #86 MEYER SHANK RACING W/ CURB-AGAJANIAN are this season's champions.

And this concludes the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. IMSA's golden celebration has finally ended but the proud heritage of one of North America's prestige motorsport will continue for the next 50 years. Here's for the next 50 years, IMSA!
