NTT IndyCar Series 2019 - Grand Prix of Portland

Portland, Oregon, may have became a hotbed for protesters from both sides of politics, but that doesn't stop the NTT IndyCar Series from pulling off what was known to be the penultimate race of this season as the Grand Prix of Portland is about as intense as what this city faced today.

The first lap is a disaster as some of the drivers went off the course until the first caution of the race triggered as Connor Daly and Graham Rahal got involved in a crash as well as Zach Veach, who broke the car's steering. James Hinchcliffe is out of the race. On Lap 14, meanwhile, Ryan Hunter-Reay got caught in a collision with Jack Harvey when the rear left of the car smacked Harvey's car at Turn 1. With 8 laps to go, Santino Ferrucci faces some battery issue.

Will Power wins the chaotic Grand Prix of Portland while Felix Rosenqvist tasted his first ever podium finish in IndyCar with a 2nd place finish and Alexander Rossi placed 3rd.

After the chaos in Portland, Newgarden still leads at 593 points with Alexander Rossi in 2nd with 552 points and Simon Pagenaud's in 3rd with 551 points. Question is, who will emerge as the winner of the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series? The answer will be revealed at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for the finale on the 22nd of September. Don't miss it!
