- Liwayway (International Name: Lingling) has intensified into a tropical storm, according to PAGASA. As of 1100 hours, “Liwayway” now has a maximum sustained winds of up to 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
- Three of the six henchmen of former Calauan Mayor Antonio Sanchez who were likewise convicted for the murder of two college students have died while serving their sentence, according to Bureau of Corrections chief Nicanor Faeldon during a Senate hearing.
