F1 2019: Belgian GP

The 2019 Formula 1 season ended their summer recess and back into action at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. However, before the race started, the whole F1 people are paying tribute to the late Anthonie Hubert, who was killed during an Formula 2 race. After paying tributes to the late F2 driver, the action at Spa kicked off with all of the action and drama in store.

For the first time in his Formula 1 career, Ferrari rookie Charles Leclerc snagged his first ever win after defeating the two Mercedes drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, towards the checkered flag. Other finishers include Sebastian Vettel, Alex Albon, Sergio Perez, Danil Kvyat, Nico Hulkenburg, Pierre Gasly, and Lance Stroll. Vettel scored an extra point for setting this race's fastest lap in 1:46.409.

After Belgium, the two Mercedes drivers' gap are now between 65 points with Hamilton at 268 and Bottas at 203, while Max Verstappen's still at third with 181 points.

Next stop; the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on the 8th of September.
