It's elimination day at the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoffs and the dreaded ROVAL version of Charlotte Motor Speedway is the hall of judgment where the final 12 will be advanced to the next round and the bottom four will be judged out of the playoffs. The ROVAL sure is unforgiving for the drivers but whoever made it to the end surely had their survival guides handy, especially for the final 12.

The battle at ROVAL for the next round began at the wave of the green flag and things went very one-sided for the playoffs contenders, especially for Alex Bowman who got spun at the first lap and then, three laps left at the first stage, the #48 got spun at the Heartburn Turn and if that wasn't enough, Erik Jones faced a disaster that ended his Playoff hopes. As Kyle Larson won Stage 1, Stage 2 saw Chase Elliott leading while Alex Bowman slapped Bubba Wallace out. As Chase Elliot won Stage 2, the final stage saw some big playoff implications as the Ryan Newman's pit road drama affected his progress and if that wasn't enough, he joined with the #47 and the #11 in a slid-out disaster. Unlucky for the #6 driver though because all those problems means he's out of the playoffs.
After the mayhem at the ROVAL, Chase Elliot wins the Bank of America ROVAL 400 and the final 12 are advanced to the next round.
With Kyle Busch, Truex Jr. Hamlin, Logano, Harvick, Elliott, Kselowski, Larson, Bowman, Blaney, Byron, and Bowyer survived to the next round, the fight for the final 8 has begun so the next playoff race will be at Dover International Speedway for the Drydene 400 this Sunday, October 6th.
