2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series - South Point 400

The road to Miam has officially begun as the playoffs of the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series kicked off at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the South Point 400, where the top 16 drivers will fight to secure a spot to the final 12, whatever means necessary.

The first stage sees some close calls, three-wide fights, a trouble for the #14, and a stage win for Joey Logano. Stage 2 sees some more action with Martin Truex Jr. winning this stage in the hopes to survive his playoff hopes. And lastly, the messy climax where the #24 got spun and Kurt Busch's playoff hopes shattered by a smack to the wall. It really sums up.

In the end, Martin Truex Jr. wins the South Point 400, giving him the advantage to advance to the next round of the playoffs.
