NTT IndyCar Series 2019 - Honda Indy Toronto

Toronto has been on the headlines lately ever since the Raptors took home the first NBA title but in the heat of what is known to be "the greatest sporting weekend of the year", the Honda Indy Toronto race of the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series promises to be as loud as the crowd gathered at the so-called Jurassic Park.

One major surprise in the Toronto race is that Robert Wickens, the Toronto-native IndyCar driver who got injured at last season's Pocono race, returns to driving, only this time he was in a specially-modified Acura NSX pace car donned in the Arrow racing livery he's part of. The whole IndyCar crowd got surprised and inspired by his road to recovery and here's hoping he can do more on his ongoing efforts. Anyway, the race...

Simon Pagenaud, the Team Penske driver who won this year's Indy 500, scored his third win of the season having managed to lead 80 out of the 85 laps and managed to fend off the likes of Chip Ganassi Racing's Scott Dixon and Andretti Autosport's Alexander Rossi.

Behind the action comes with troubles in store in the Toronto battle as Will Power triggered not one but two cautions with the latter saw him ended up in the tire barrier in Turn 8 in the middle of the final lap. Takuma Sato had an unlucky day at Toronto when the back of his car caught fire.
