- The Duterte administration named lawyer Rodolfo D. Robles as the Philippines' new permanent representative to the United Nations. Robles will assume the diplomatic post vacated by Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. at the UN headquarters in New York City last October, according to the Palace.

- The low pressure area, formerly tropical depression “Egay,” has already dissipated but the southwest monsoon or habagat will continue to bring rains in some parts of Luzon this Wednesday.
