Forza Horizon 4: How to make your own race route

So, you managed to conquer most of Horizon UK, yet you find yourself boring and you have nothing else to do in your spare time rather than gunning for weekly rewards and showing off to the rest of the world. Fortunately, Forza Horizon 4 has a time-passing solution to that and that is how to make your own race route.

If this is the first time playing Forza Horizon 4 or if you need a quick refresher, this game allows players to create their own race route in their own way. Introduced from one of the earlier updates, the Create Route feature allows players to create their own race routes. Be it a point-to-point sprint or circuit, road or dirt, the possibilities are near endless.

Time for some route-making lesson 101:

First, head to any racing event, then press the View button (X for those in the Automatic setting) and select Create Route. You can choose any car you want to drive and then start creating your own track.

Your car is like a paintbrush. You create as you move and it's the same thing that goes for creating a track. Drive in the direction of any way you like to create a layout. Whether you want to be a road track or a dirt track, help yourselves. However, if you made a mistake, you can press the Y button to rewind and do it again.

To put a checkpoint, you can press the View button on your XBOX One Controller. You can adjust the width of the checkpoint and move it if you like. If you're happy with this checkpoint, press A. If not, press B.

To check your route layout, press the Menu button and select view map. You can either restart or quit if you are unhappy with your creation.

To make a sprint race, you can press the Menu button and select Place Finish Line. To make a circuit race, you have to drive your car around and then back to the starting line. It's as simple as that. When you finished making a track, you'll have to take it for a test run.

After testing the track, select Create New and give it a file name. Then, select Create Custom Event to choose your own regulations. It can be anything you want. You can turn it into a daytime, nighttime, sunny, or rainy race. You can even give it a cool event name and then you're done!

Now that you're familiar with the Custom Route feature, I will present you my example; it's a sprint race from Bamburgh Castle to Edinburgh Castle in the middle of rainy weather. Enjoy.

So, there you have it. If you got nothing else to do has managed to conquer every single event in the game, the Custom Route feature's here to help. Making your own race layout, and sharing it with the world is the perfect way to pass time in Horizon UK and you can try one for yourself. Now, you got plenty of reasons to stay in Horizon UK a little further.
