F1 2019: Austrian GP

The Austrian Grand Prix of the F1 2019 season sees some reversal and drama as qualifying drama pushed title leader Lewis Hamilton to the fifth spot of the grid and no matter how hard he tried, his mission to get to the podium failed at Spielberg. Worse, he got overtaken by Vettel when he locked up the brakes. However, what's even more dramatic in the Austrian GP is this.

Despite a chaotic start, Max Verstappen of Red Bull managed to claw his way to the top until the controversial moment in the climax where he banged Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc out but shockingly, no further action is taken over Verstappen's race-winning move on Charles Leclerc. With that, Verstappen nicked his first season win, a first for a Honda-powered Red Bull car, with Leclerc faced 2nd place after being nudged out by Verstappen. Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes-AMG completes the podium with the first place finish and the rest goes on for Vettel, Hamilton, Lando Norris, Pierre Gasly, Carlos Sainz, Kimi Raikkonen, and Antonio Giovinazzi.

Fastest lap time goes to Verstappen himself with a a 1:07.475 lap time.

After Austria, Lewis Hamilton still leads with 197 while Valtteri Bottas is in 2nd with 166 points and Max Verstappen jumps to third with 126 points.

Next race is at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix, probably the last before Brexit, on the 14th of July.
