DTM 2019 - Assen

The 2019 DTM season welcomes the newest battleground for the drivers, the TT Circuit Assen in Holland. Known for hosting the annual Dutch TT and Superbike series, the technical corners of Assen will put these DTM drivers to the test and that sounds like a challenge to them.

The two race event puts DTM drivers to the test on this brand new addition and with weather changes applied, extra concentration is required. On the first race, there's Marco Wittmann who managed to drove his way towards the victory lane in the first ever DTM Assen race despite the rainy weather. In the second race, meanwhile, sees some tyre-related drama for the drivers but in the end, Mike Rockenfeller snagged his first race victory after two years.

After the action in Assen, Rene Rast still leads the leaderboard at 158 points, 22 points ahead of Nico Mueller, while Marco Wittmann's at 3rd with 118 points.

Next event is at Brands Hatch on the 10th to the 11th of August.
