2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series - Coke Zero Sugar 400

After a rain delay, the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series has returned to Daytona for the Coke Zero Sugar 400 and in the midst of the cloudy weather which spells inclement weather, this race became one of the wildest of this summer.

As the green flag went in the air, the wildest NASCAR race of this summer is on as Stage 1 sees Denny Hamlin coming in hot as he went hard on the brakes, the #18 car driving on the edge, and Joey Logano winning the stage. On Stage 2, a save by Kevin Harvick, a spin by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., a rough stretch for Kurt Busch following a spin, a back-and-fourth fight for the lead, and Austin Dillon winning Stage 2. Now, this is where the fun begins; a three wide for the lead followed by the big one.

After a chaotic Dayton thriller, followed by a rain to put an end to this race, Justin Haley won his first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race.

Next race is at the Kentucky Speedway for the Quaker State 400 on the 13th of July.
