It maybe the day to celebrate 50 years since the moon landing but IMSA's 50th anniversary celebration continues at Lime Rock Park for the Northeast Grand Prix and this race will be one small step for the drivers, one leap for the podium in one of the most intense races ever happened in the heart of Salisbury, Connecticut.

The
Ford GT made headlines at Lime Rock as the #67 car wins the Northeast Grand Prix while the #66 car placed 3rd. Between them is the second place finisher, the #912 Porsche 911 RSR. In the GTD class, the #9 Porsche 911 GT3 R of Dennis Olsen and the others has beaten the #86 NSX GT3 and the #96 M6 GT3 for a first-ever class win. Considering the photo finish between them, that really is one small step for the drivers, one giant leap to the podium.
The IMSA's 50th anniversary celebration continues at Road America on the 2nd to the 4th of August, 2019.
