In a surprise twist at the climax of the six-hour endurance drama, Mazda Team Joest tasted their first win at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and their first 1-2 finish with the #55 Mazda RT24-P DPi, driven by Harry Tincknell, Jonathan Bomarito, and Olivier Pia, became the first to snag the checkered flag at the end of the six-hour endurance race while the #77, driven by Oliver Jarvis, Tristan Nunez, and Timo Bernhard, placed 2nd.

Apart from that, the #52 ORECA won the LMP2 class, the #911 Porsche 911 RSR defeated the #3 C7.R for the GTLM class, and the #86 Acura NSX GT3 won the GTD class.

The IMSA 50th anniversary celebration continues at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the Mobil 1 Sportscar Grand Prix Presented by Acura on the 5th to the 7th of July.
