The real fun of IMSA's 50th anniversary celebration begins at Watkins Glen, New York, for the Sahlen's Six Hours of the Glen event where the world's best drivers endure six hours of drama while delivering the roar to the race track that is as close to the Big Apple.

In a surprise twist at the climax of the six-hour endurance drama,
Mazda Team Joest tasted their first win at the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and their first 1-2 finish with the #55 Mazda RT24-P DPi, driven by Harry Tincknell, Jonathan Bomarito, and Olivier Pia, became the first to snag the checkered flag at the end of the six-hour endurance race while the #77, driven by Oliver Jarvis, Tristan Nunez, and Timo Bernhard, placed 2nd.
Apart from that, the #52 ORECA won the LMP2 class, the #911 Porsche 911 RSR defeated the #3 C7.R for the GTLM class, and the #86 Acura NSX GT3 won the GTD class.
The IMSA 50th anniversary celebration continues at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the Mobil 1 Sportscar Grand Prix Presented by Acura on the 5th to the 7th of July.
