F1 2019 - Canadian GP

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, home of the Wall of Champions, is the next stop of the F1 2019 season for the Canadian Grand Prix and that race really went out of hand into one of the most controversial races in the season because of the endgame that got the whole world noticed.

The most controversial moment of this season is when the race is on its 48th lap, Sebastian Vettel, who is leading the race, cut through grass at the Turn 3-4 chicane, in the process squeezing Lewis Hamilton when he re-joined the track, causing the German to be slapped with a five second penalty, turning his win into a second place finish and second-placer Hamilton promoted to become the Canadian GP victor. Charles Leclerc, meanwhile, placed 3rd, as well as Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen.

Right now, post-Canada, Ferrari submitted an appeal against the decision to slap Vettel with a penalty after a race-changing, result-changing moment that had his win crumbled.

The next race of the F1 2019 season will be at Circuit Paul Ricard for the French GP on the 23rd of June, 2019.
