Jean Grey is hands down one of the most iconic X-MEN villains of all time because of her destructive mutant powers that caused so much misery to the X-MEN and in what was known to be the last installment of the X-MEN main series (although this is the twelfth of the film franchise), fans will go deeper to the secret origin of Jean Grey while witnessing her transformation from a heroine to a dark heroine that rain down destruction to the X-MEN.

Set after the events of X-Men Apocalypse, penned and directed by Simon Kinberg, and starring Sophie Turner, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender, among many others, this origin story delves deeper to the rise of Jean Grey as her near death experience during the mutants' space mission caused her to develop superpowers and then abused it, turning her into the dark heroine we are familiar now, leaving the X-MEN second thoughts about eliminating their colleague once and for all.
We are getting hooked on who Jean Grey is ever since fans first saw her in X-MEN: The Last Stand while trying to dig down every pages of the X-MEN comic books to discover the hidden truth behind this dark heroine and thanks to this explosive film, the feeling of getting to know Jean Grey is now within reach and while digging deeper to the dark storytelling, this film delivers one hell of a thriller in typical X-MEN fashion and once you get hooked to it, there's no turning back and it takes a lot of guts to survive through the end of the film and doublethink just how terrifying, dark, and gritty this X-MEN movie is.
Terrifying, dark, and gritty it is but this X-MEN film uncovering Jean Grey's past is the main reason why fans will definitely get out and see it.
My rating: 3.8 out of 5.
