2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series - Toyota Save Mart 350

The carousel corner of the Sonoma Raceway is back in NASCAR for the first time in over a decade as the boys are getting on with their serious racing faces on at the heart of Sonoma County, California, for the Toyota Save Mart 350 race of the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. This race, however, will be the last for NASCAR legend and broadcaster Darrell Waltrip as his duties for saying the famous "Boogity Boogity Boogity" tagline is well and truly over. While NASCAR fans will truly miss his famous tagline when the race starts, here's how the action at Sonoma unfolded.

Unfolding the Sonoma action, which served as the parting gift for broadcaster DW, the last Boogity before his retirement, the first stage is packed with braking damage for the #1 car, a collision with the #14, and a spin but no caution in sight. As William Byron won Stage 1, Stage 2 gets even more messy with Paul Menard got spun in turn 11 but Denny Hamlin won this stage.

Emerged after a pitstop, Martin Truex Jr. fought all the way to Victory Lane to nail his 23rd carrer victory, his fourth for this season.

The "boogity" days are finished but the NASCAR action goes on with the next race set at Chicagoland Speedway for the Camping World 400 this 30th of June.
