After a downpour that caused this race to move on Monday, leaving fans going half-day on work in order to jump into the action, the FireKeepers Casino 400 race of the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series brings on the thunder at the Michigan International Speedway for some intense, action-packed, oval racing fans truly don't want to miss, whatever it takes.

When the announcer goes "boogity, boogity, boogity", the fun begins as the first stage sees Jimmie Johnson and Matt DiBenedetto got a little touchy on pit road while Joey Logano won Stage 1 of the race. In Stage 2, looks like Kyle Weatherman's back is disintegrated while Chase Elliot made close contact at Alex Bowman's rear bumper and Brad Keselowski faces safety violation. After Austin Dillon won Stage 2, mayhem comes in the final stage as Clint Bowyer got caught in the crash, Dillon brought out the caution while Logano battled back to the front, and an overtime triggered after Erik Jones spun at the climax of the race.

After that thrilling overtime, Joey Logano wins the FireKeepers Casino 400.

Next race is at Sonoma Raceway for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 on the 23rd of June, 2019.
