FIA World RX 2019: World RX of Benelux

It's another new location in the 2019 FIA World Rallycross Championship and this time, the best World RX drivers have been gathered in Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for the first ever World RX of Benelux and although some motorsport enthusiasts are not pleased about using an F1 track for World RX purposes, the sign of progressiveness prompted to give their new venue a start and it worked. The rallycross version of Spa-Francorchamps really means business and the drivers are showing their skills in their new battleground called Spa.

The Spa race sees Timur Timerzyanov won his first World RX race while Andreas Bakkerud finished in second place while Joni Wiman placed 3rd. Other finishers include Timmy Hansen, Janis Baumanis, and Liam Doran.

Highlights:

After the first ever World RX of Benelux, the Hansen brothers are leading with an 11-point gap with Kevin at 69 and Timmy with 58. Timur Timerzyanov, fresh from his Spa win, is third with 53 points.

Next event is the World RX of Great Britain, annoyingly the last before Brexit, on the 25th to 26th of May.
