2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship - Truck Assist Winton SuperSprint

The 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship continues at the Truck Assist Winton SuperSprint event and in this two-race weekend, race fans can see last year's champion Scott McLaughlin got some questioning to do when he pulled a first-lap clash with his teammate Fabian Coulthard as well as some drastic shortcut attempt that got everyone noticed.

In the first race, despite having sustained some penalties after that teammate tangle, McLaughlin managed to come to the finish line first as a winner while Chaz Mostert placed 2nd and David Reynolds placed 3rd. Then, on the second race, with no repeat from the previous race that got Team Penske scratching their heads to contact them, the Shell V-Power Racing team came with a 1-2 finish with McLaughlin emerged the winner while Coulthard placed 2nd. Jamie Whincup completes the podium with a third place finish.

After the drama at Winton, Scott McLaughlin had a massive lead in the leaderboard with 1646 points while Coulthard's in 2nd with 1402 points and Shane Van Gisbergen's in third with 1231 points.

Next event is the BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown on the 14th to 16th of June.
