The Grand Tour S3 FINALE |
As Ford prepares to ditch the saloons due to the rise of crossover sales, most famously the Mondeo, the boys prepared a little history lesson before saying goodbye to an era that made Ford saloons great not just in Britain but the rest of the world.
It all begins with the history of the Cortina, a car that holds a special place for Jeremy Clarkson and James May. Then at the Eboladrome, Richard Hammond tries out the Ford Sierra Cosworth and when handed to Abbie Eaton, it lapped round the Eboladrome in 1:31.3. After that, the boys drove a Mondeo estate to the Lincoln Cathedral to bid farewell to an era of Ford saloons.
With their Ford saloon history lesson done, the boys made an emotional montage including those clips during their Top Gear days. Looks like the BBC truly miss those three despite the mishaps a few years ago that led them to transfer to Amazon to do The Grand Tour.
For three seasons when The Grand Tour began late 2016, we've seen the boys driving fast cars worldwide and even the Eboladrome, throwing tantrums at each other, exploring uncharted places, making chit chat at Conversation Street, killing celebs at Celebrity Brain Crash, inviting celebrities to see who's the fastest at Celebrity Face-Off, the list goes on and on and on but now as Season 3 came to an end, The Grand Tour we know and love is truly finished. The tent, the audience, and the track obviously, but the boys and the show will return with more road trips and specials in mind.
In case you're starting up The Grand Tour game for the first time or you're picking up where you left off, all of the Season 3 episodes are now playable in the game. It's time to play the rest of the season as if you're binge watching the rest and if you're aiming for the "Our New Idiot" achievement, go for all golds in single player mode and drive your favorite cars as seen on this show at Split Screen with your favorite presenters!
And on that terrible disappointment, THE GRAND TOUR WILL RETURN...
